While the men decompress from the Masters, the ladies are looking to get returned on pinnacle.
Well, 3 of them are, besides.
Inbee Park is the new #1, Stacy Lewis is #2 (a trifling .04 factors back), and Yani Tseng is #3. A win this week on the LPGA LOTTE Championship will propel any of them to the top spot. After rounds (the LOTTE commenced on Wednesday, now not Thursday) Lewis is at -6, Park at -three, and Tseng at -1.
However, Suzann Pettersen leads at -10 and she's #6 within the world. That's too far again to take the number one spot... However getting her 2nd win of the yr could without a doubt supply her a boost towards that spot!
The reality that this event is in Hawaii -- and is therefore broadcast at some point of primetime (6:30pm-9:30pm ET) -- makes this match extra thrilling than some of the women' occasions.
If I needed to area a bet on a brand new #1, I'd guess on Lewis right now. Park seems to be a piece off her game -- expected after winning her 2nd main just multiple weeks in the past -- and Tseng remains looking to get things returned on track. But given the Hawaiian winds, you've got to just like the possibilities of a robust player like Suzann... Or defending champion Ai Miyazato's, who is handiest one stroke returned.
But we may also grow to be with a new #1 in the international once more. That's the real intrigue this week.
Remember, the tournament is being broadcast LIVE on GC at 6:30pm-9:30pm ET tonight and Saturday night.
