Okay, I know some of you are saying that Rory McIlroy is still alive... barely. But Casey's the only guy left from my Final Four picks so I'm pulling for him.
The playoff keeps this morning at 6:45am PT -- that's 9:45am ET (where I live on the East Coast) -- and who knows how many holes it might move. Paul and Rory had already played 3 more holes earlier than darkness took over.
The winner plays Jim Furyk, who has made it to the Final Four for the primary time. And Jim is gambling well in order that should be an excellent match irrespective of who he faces.
But the real assignment seems to be Gary Woodland. He's set to face Danny Willett within the semis nowadays but you have got to discern Gary is the favourite to make the finals. He's the handiest man who has stayed hot from Day 1, which is why I did not assume he'd make it to the semis. I idea he'd have a awful round in one of the two rounds these days as fatigue began to take its toll. (That's seemingly what took place to Hideki Matsuyama. His recreation sincerely vanished against McIlroy.)
But Woodland did not stumble after all. So you need to determine that he may be the favorite to take all of it these days as well.
The finals are set up to have 4 players with very unique techniques to the sport, regardless of whether Casey or McIlroy makes it through. And the winner of the Match Play will actually have earned his victory.
I'm just hoping that is Paul Casey, this is all. ;-D
