Patrick Cantlay with trophy and Jack Nicklaus

These were my worst Tuesday Twofer picks yet. I picked Tony Finau (MC) to win and Matt Kuchar (MC) to Top10. What more can I say? I'm in a slump!

  • Winners: 2 for 22
  • Place well (Top10): 11 for 22 (6 Top5 finish, 5 more Top10s)
  • Overall Top10s: 22 of 44 (11 Top5s, 11 more Top10s)
Patrick Cantlay, however, is most definitely NOT in a slump.

And it doesn't harm that he's pals with Jack Nicklaus. While Jack is continually inclined to provide recommendation to gamers -- especially the younger gamers who're trying to get their careers in tools -- there are gamers who he is taking a unique interest in, truely due to the fact he's attracted to them and their dedication.

And due to the fact they may concentrate.

Patrick stated after his final round that Jack had really advised him to loosen up and revel in the game. (Sounds loads like the day prior to this's post, does not it?) And Patrick took it to heart, blistering the sphere with a bogey-unfastened sixty four. That's tough to do anywhere, let alone at Muirfield on Sunday. His rating was two strokes higher than all people else in the subject, and he received by means of two strokes for his second PGA Tour win.

This win puts Patrick in the Top10 of both the FedExCup factors standings and the OWGR... And number one in this week's run to the Limerick Summary. He's hit his stride just in time for the closing three majors of the 12 months. Perhaps he'll select up another Limerick Summary as well!

At Muirfield the players are blessed

?Cause Jack gives them extra than a take a look at?

He gives them path.

Pat had no objection!

He played like a man who’s possessed. The photo came from this page at pgatour.com.
