GCA coach Jill Scally demonstrated this simple feel drill on Wednesday's Morning Drive, and I think it's a good one for you to know. After all, it costs nothing and you've already got the equipment!
This concept of wrapping a towel around your clubhead to growth your experience isn't always a brand new one, but it's nonetheless a very beneficial one. And you've probably already were given a towel for your bag.
While Jill mentions that the more weight of the towel lets you higher sense the clubhead -- and it's important on the way to notice that you don't need a heavy weight in your club to get that progressed sense -- it's also proper that the "floppy bits" of the towel assist as properly.
The unfastened ends of the towel exaggerate the feeling of your swing plane changing from backswing to downswing. Ideally, you want to feel as little flopping around on the alternate of course as possible. If the wind is blowing, you may experience the adjustments even extra virtually.
And that multiplied weight can even assist you experience the cocking of your wrists on the downswing. That's a key to getting increased distance.
Again, this isn't a brand new drill; it is been round for a protracted long term. But it's constantly brilliant how something this easy can surely help you improve your swing.
