The Limerick Summary: 2012 AT&T National

Winner: Tiger Woods

Around the wider world of golf: Joe Daley got his first Champions Tour win (a major!) at the Constellation SENIOR PLAYERS Championship; Jamie Donaldson got his first European Tour win at the Irish Open; Ai Miyazato got her 2nd LPGA win of the season at the Walmart NW Arkansas Championship; Peter Tomasulo got his first Web.com Tour win since his 21-month bout with injuries at the United Leasing Championship; and Leah Wigger got her 2nd Symetra Tour win at the Island Resort Championship.

Tiger gets #74

They (whoever "they" are) constantly say, "He who laughs ultimate, laughs excellent."

I do not know if this is actual, however Tiger Woods is truly guffawing a lot currently. And all of the naysayers who said that Sean Foley turned into ruining his sport, that his new swing become all incorrect, that he had misplaced his intellectual side, and that he would possibly win a few tournaments but he'd in no way absolutely be a pressure at the PGA Tour once more must be pronouncing a whole lot of "naughty words" because it becomes increasingly apparent that maybe Tiger is aware of a touch bit more about his recreation than his critics.

Sunday likely set off a look for new expletives because the Man in Red snagged his third win of 2012 and his 74th of his career -- only Sam Snead nonetheless has extra. What's more, his three wins are on satisfactory publications -- Muirfield Village, Bay Hill, and now Congressional. And the season's not achieved.

Give Bo Van Pelt credit. Although he's won before and I knew he's been gambling properly, I haven't visible him on this role -- final grouping with Tiger on a U.S. Open-pleasant route -- so I did not recognise how he could preserve up. He held up better than anybody except Tiger, and now I've got to transport him up into my listing of major contenders heading into the Open Championship in more than one weeks. This became a massive week for him, definitely due to the fact he proved he can do it.

But Tiger DID do it... again. And now we've got to wonder what may be ahead. Clearly he's resumed work on his short game, which must mean he finally feels good about his full swing. Of course, good news for Tiger could be bad news for everybody else. Now we're going to see just how much ground they really made up during Tiger's "vacation."

Of direction, Tiger's critics simply lost ground. Perhaps he'll send them some complimentary cleaning soap with a purpose to wash their mouths out.

In the meantime, I provide up this little Limerick Summary in salute of the "washed-up" player who just have become the PGA Tour's first three-time winner of 2012... And to remind his critics that growing their vocabulary may also include different results:

With his third win this yr, at Congressional,

Only Sam Snead now leads in expert

Wins general. I guess

Tiger's renewed success

Will send critics in search of confessionals. The photo came from the tournament's main page.
