The LPGA Down Under

Good on ya, mate! It's time for the LPGA to move down beneath to the ISPS Handa Women's Australian Open... And that means here in the States, it is time for more top time golf (properly, kind of).

Lydia Ko with trophy

This occasion may be performed at The Grange GC, one of the top of the line Sandbelt courses in South Australia. And even as Tony Jesselli's Women's Australian Open preview puts the field power at an insignificant 31.50% with handiest 11 of the Top50 inside the Rolex Rankings making the ride, many of the gamers there'll make for an exciting event.

Some acquainted names like Laura Davies, Karrie Webb and Cheyenne Woods are within the field. Defending champion Lydia Ko can be there, of path, as will Brooke Henderson, HaNa Jang, Charley Hull, Minjee Lee and -- this one is specially interesting -- Jiyai Shin.

As maximum of , Shin left the LPGA a couple of years back so she should live in the direction of her domestic in Korea. But the word is that she's significantly considering a go back to the LPGA and, having won this event in 2013, this might be an excellent start if she's simply making plans to come back lower back.

But I'm going with the new hand this week -- LPGA warm hand, that is. Although Lydia Ko defended closing week in New Zealand, I like HaNa Jang's probabilities to head in a row after triumphing the Coates per week in the past.

I said that this will be 'sort of' prime time golf here in the States. GC's coverage -- which will probably be live, given the time difference -- starts at 11pm ET tonight . That's a bit late for prime time but it's a lot better than the 2am and 3am times we've had for overseas golf the last few weeks. I know I'm looking forward to it.
