The European Tour Resumes This Week

Both the PGA Tour and the European Tour begin their ordinary schedules this week. The European Tour kicks off 2018 with the BMW SA Open.

2017 BMW SA Open champ Graeme Storm and caddie

You might not realize it, however the South African Open is the second one oldest national Open within the world (1893). It's hosted by using the City Ekurhuleni (don't inquire from me to pronounce that) at Glendower Golf Club, a nearly 7600-backyard direction at Johannesburg. And the protecting champion is Graeme Storm, whose win last 12 months locked up his Tour card.

Rather than repeat a lot of information, let me just link you to a page at europeantour.com called Five Things to Know , which will give you all this info and more.

To be honest, the element I find most exciting about the match (at least, thus far) is that Rory McIlroy isn't included inside the entry listing. Graeme beat Rory in a three-hole playoff remaining year, and I concept he'd want to look if he could not end one spot better this time.

GC's schedule shows their coverage of this event begins at 2:30am ET on Wednesday morning . It's listed until 9:30am ET then continuing at 11:30am ET after Morning Drive. I don't know if that's all live coverage or not... but it's definitely a bonus for us ET fans.
