A couple of days again I posted a Martin Hall video on wrist motion that I said need to cease a bit otherwise. I assume Martin does some of the first-class displays on widespread wrist motion that I've ever visible but what this video suggests after effect may want to harm your capacity to both launch the club and get distance.
Well, Phil -- who regularly feedback on diverse posts -- linked me to more than one videos from LPGA teaching pro Cathy Schmidt that addressed those exact problems. Since many of you can not have checked the comments, I notion I'd post them today. Neither may be very lengthy.
One of my remarks turned into that the wrist trouble Martin become trying to forestall can be higher dealt with with the old 'belly button to the goal' drill. Cathy's first video right here indicates precisely how that works.
This second one addresses how holding that wrist attitude too lengthy will reduce your distance.
And in both motion pictures you may see that she is letting her trailing wrist launch after impact; she's now not trying to hold the angle.
I wish those motion pictures assist the ones of you who wanted any other opinion at the wrist question. I also wanted to thank Phil for posting the video hyperlinks. ;-)
