Martin Hall's Sponge Drill (Video)

This is a super-short Home School video from Martin on how to use a sponge -- no club -- to keep your hands, arms and shoulders in sync during your swing.

The drill is self-explanatory, but right here's why it works: The flat aspect of the sponge must live parallel on your chest at some stage in the drill. You're the usage of a half-swing, about shoulder peak. If the sponge starts offevolved to tilt so one side or the other is angled, then your fingers and chest aren't swinging collectively.

This drill will show you whether or not you're "getting caught" (your trailing elbow collapses earlier than you hit the ball) or "scooping" (your lead elbow collapses as you hit the ball). It's a nice visible way to get feedback, even without a membership.
