The ladies have performed. The juniors have played. Now it's time for the Masters right. That's why Tiger is smiling...

I'm no longer going to bore you with any details of the event -- you KNOW the history of the Masters and what it is all about. So let's simply get to the alternatives, ok?
The Masters is usually a piece tough to select for a lot of motives. The players are extraordinarily acquainted with the direction, there is generally little or no rough, and some of the players just seem to discover another equipment at Augusta, no matter what their shape seems like going in. Add a variety of rain into the mix -- which traditionally appears to have favored the fast hitters -- and you've got a unfastened-for-all just ready to take place.
But this year provides a brand new wrinkle, and that's the dramatic time table alternate. There aren't any off-weeks this season, and gamers are feeling their way via the new agenda. I assume that can have a larger impact than maximum assume, but there possibly may not be any way to quantify its impact or maybe show that it has an effect. At any charge, it's yet another unpredictable component inside the choices.
Let me get rid of a couple of favorites right now. Jordan Spieth should genuinely discover his game this week however I just don't see him placing 4 rounds together -- and that is essentially what has killed his possibilities for the remaining years at least. And at the same time as I like Rory McIlroy's new mental method and anticipate him to win a Masters in the subsequent or three years, I clearly do not count on it to happen this yr -- I don't assume he'll be capable of follow that new mental game until he's found out precisely what Augusta will throw at him this 12 months.
So who have to I choose?
- For my Top10 I'm taking Tiger Woods. I'm not sure Tiger has had time to find the balance of play and rest in this new schedule. I think he will before the year is out but, as with Rory, I think Augusta might throw him a few curves this time around. Still, I think his game is in good enough shape that he can make a run on Sunday and post yet another Top10 at this event.
- And my winner? I have to take Francesco Molinari. His win at the API was proof that his game is back in shape, he should be well rested after a week off -- he also took a week off before the API -- and I think the wet course may help him by allowing aggressive shots with longer clubs. And that will only give him more opportunities to exploit that awesome short game of his.
