Now DJ Visits the Doctor

Last week it became Tiger, this week it's Dustin Johnson. And yes, it is the left knee.

Dustin Johnson

Golf.Com quoted this announcement from DJ's management team that was despatched out Thursday morning:

?Earlier nowadays, Dustin Johnson underwent arthroscopic surgery in Fort Lauderdale, Florida to restore cartilage damage in his left knee. He is now resting simply and is predicted to make a complete restoration earlier than returning to competition later q4.
The procedure is considered routine and similar in nature to his prior right knee surgery in December of 2011. Both were performed by renowned orthopedic surgeon, Dr. George Caldwell.”
"Later this fall" almost certainly means the Presidents Cup at the latest.

Artheroscopic surgery isn't any big factor these days; every so often I think players method it the identical way they approach habitual blood checks and cardiograms. But if a participant needs to have a knee 'cleaned out' and doesn't do it, it is able to surely affect their performance.

So now it is going to be interesting to peer if DJ's play improves. We're used to him being so consistent however we have not seen that from him lately. Perhaps this is the reason.

At least it's going to provide him and Tiger some thing to commiserate approximately over the following few months.
